GH is awesome because
GH is awesome because of Charles and Jeff Garrison. GH is a family legacy where Jeff and Charles treat you like family whether you are a client or an employee. They take pride in delivering the quality home to their clients that they dream about, and they appreciate the efforts of their employees to accomplish it. WE are a family! Jeff and Charles are hands on and accessible. I know this might sound trivial, but they always say thank you! I also have the added bonus of getting to work with my son, Michael.

Trudy retired after 30 years of working in financial services for the State of Delaware Authority, but her son Michael, who also works for Garrison Homes, talked her out of retirement and into a job as our Finance Manager.

As our Finance Manager, Trudy is responsible for various financial related matters such as paying bills, checking and updating budgets, ensuring compliance to applicable tax and business laws, insurance, payroll, assisting with client construction loans, finding ways to maximize company margins, and the list goes on.

Not only does Trudy act as our finance manager, but she is also part of a group working to develop policies and procedures to strengthen the internal business framework at Garrison Homes. On top of that, she co-manages HR responsibilities, which might sound boring to some, but Trudy loves it. She says that this aspect of the job is a challenge and each day is different.

When she first started 3 years ago, Trudy told everyone that she was not construction savvy, but as you can probably guess from her track record, she learned quite rapidly. Trudy says that she was able to learn quickly because everyone at Garrison has been so helpful in teaching her about the industry. Furthermore, she says that Garrison feels like home, and she is proud to be part of a family of such talented individuals.
